Band to help injured Paul.

A CONCERT is being held next month to raise funds for a Nuneaton man left paralysed after a holiday accident.

Bulkington Silver Band will be performing at St James CE Junior School, in Barbridge Road, Bulk-ington, on Thursday, May 18, in aid of the Paul Andrew Appeal.

Band treasurer Clive Beckwith said: "More than half our members are youngsters who directly or indirectly know Paul and asked if we could do a charity concert."If we can raise enough interest it could be quite successful, and with parents helping out, we've got a ready-made audience.

"And if it sells out we can hold another one the next night!"

Tickets for the 7.30pm show cost pounds 1 from the school on 024 7631 3227 or from Mr Beckwith on 024 7673 3790.

All proceeds will go towards buying equipment for 21-year-old Paul And-rew, of Pallett Drive, St Nicolas Park, Nuneaton, who was injured while white-water rafting in Australia.
