Band play on after death of singer.

BLUES, country and acid house fusion band Alabama 3 will go on stage tomorrow for the first time since their founding member and singer Jake Black died.

Black, from Glasgow, passed away on Tuesday, aged 59, with his bandmates at his bedside. Jake fell ill after playing at a festival in Lancashire.

Alabama 3 had been booked to play the Vibration Festival in Falkirk and the other members vowed to play in honour of their friend's Scottish roots.

The band are best known for Woke Up This Morning - the theme tune for the US gangster drama series The Sopranos.
