Banc of California, subsidiary of Banc of California Inc. (NYSE: BANC), has said that it has it has appointed Kris Gagnon as its chief credit officer.

In his new role, Gagnon will lead Banc of California's enterprise credit organisation and will be responsible for underwriting, credit policy, credit administration and special assets.

Gagnon has most recently served as chief credit officer for CIT Bank, formerly OneWest Bank. He has previously served in various senior leadership roles at Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) for 30 years, including as enterprise credit risk executive, chief risk officer of the Global Corporate and Commercial Bank and as chief credit officer for the Commercial Banking, ABL, Leasing and Global Treasury Services divisions.

Operating 34 offices in California, Banc of California Inc. provides comprehensive banking services to California's diverse businesses, entrepreneurs and communities.
