The Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport has reported that more than 623,000 travellers passed through the airport over the ten-day period around the Thanksgiving holiday.

According to Maryland Aviation Administration officials, the number may be higher than that of last year. The estimates are based on figures of parking garage usage and other preliminary reports, The Baltimore Business Journal reported.

The busiest day was reportedly 23 November, the day before Thanksgiving, which saw more than 66,000 passengers passing through the airport.
