HERE'S proof that ballet dancers are a lot tougher than you might imagine.

Lead performers Remi Andreoni and Sophie Laplane are all smiles as they brave the bitter cold in Glasgow yesterday to promote Scottish Ballet's forthcoming production of Highland Fling.

The reworking of classic romantic ballet La Sylphide will open at the city's Theatre Royal on April 27 before touring to Inverness, Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

The ballet about a Glasgow lad and a party girl is said to have a wickedly wry Scottish twist - a bit like our early spring weather, then.
