Balochistan Election Commission set to add 452143 new voters.
ISLAMABAD -- The Balochistan Election Commission is set to add 452,143 new voters in Electoral Rolls (ERs) of the province and delete the names of 1,2078 existing voters from the ERs, said Joint Provincial Election Commissioner Niaz Ahmad Baloch.
Talking to reporter, he said the ongoing door to door campaign started on January 15 mandated to register new voters would continue till February end.
He said the names of the voters who are dead, having bogus or cancelled Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) would be deleted from the existing Electoral Rolls on confirmation from their respective Union Council.
He said from the first week of March the preliminary Electoral Rolls would be displayed at various locations of every district giving ample time to people to register their complaints or objection on the ERs if any.
He said the voters' objections from the ERs would be corrected. And their votes would also be transferred to their choice places at the later stage.
Joint election commissioner appealed the people of the province to cooperate with the staff for updating ERs so that any inaccurate information could be replaced and prepare correct ERs.
He advised women voters to get themselves registered as soon as possible, adding that the women who have not yet register themselves should apply for getting new CNICs.
