Balloon tribute to murder victims.

VICTIMS of murder or manslaughter are being remembered with a balloon launch.

Each balloon will carry a label with the person's name and a small message attached to mark European Victims Day.

The balloons are being released at St George's plateau in the city centre at 1pm on Saturday.

Road deaths are being remembered as well as victims of killings.

Lord Mayor, Cllr Jack Spriggs, will be releasing the balloons along with guests from Merseyside police and the probation and Crown Prosecution services.

Families and friends of victims are also being invited to the event, organised by the Support After Murder and Manslaughter group.
