Balloon flight leaves couple sky high.

A TEESSIDE couple enjoyed a dream hot air balloon flight across the snow-capped Swiss Alps after winning a national competition.

Gill and Trevor Corbitt, pictured left, from

Nunthorpe, won a luxury seven-day adventure in western Switzerland in a competition in the Virgin Balloon Flights and Bluewater magazine.

During their stay at the Gstaad Palace Hotel in the ski resort of Gstaad, they enjoyed two unforgettable balloon trips, soaring thousands of feet up during the hour-long flight. After landing they were treated to a traditional champagne toast after landing.

Mrs Corbitt said: "Words can't really describe how great the trip was and how it made us feel. The balloon flights were especially amazing."

The couple, who have two grown up children, also saw the Chateau d'Oex

International Balloon Festival, had a day on the slopes, visited an igloo hotel, took a cable car ride followed by dinner at a mountain top restaurant and visited the famous town of Gruyere before flying home.
