Balers have scarcity value.

ONE of the most ardent Jones Balers enthusiasts is Noel Jones, son of founder Glynne Jones.

Noel, of Holywell, has assembled an almost complete collection of Jones Baler machinery.

Recently, he has been astonished by the rapid rise in prices for JB memorabilia. "It really has taken off," he said.

JB machinery remains scarce, as many items were broken up for their Noel a Jones engines, or converted into trailers.

Just six Lions are known to remain. Only 100 Invictas were built, and just six have been preserved. Around five Jones Minor Mk 1 balers were made and only one is still in existence.

with Cub baler JB produced around 50 combines, but only one Cruiser survives, at Greenfield Vallery Heritage Centre.
