Balances and pH meters make teaching and field work easier.
Mettler Toledo's Education Line of balances, pH and conductivity meters makes teaching and learning in science easier. The line has been tailored for experiments in the field and for training courses in biology, chemistry, geography or food science. Offering long lives, the economical pH and conductivity meter portfolio consists of splash-protected portable meters, compact bench meters and specifically selected electrodes. The meters also include options for field and lab work. The portable, splash-protected EL2 and EL3 instruments can be used for field experiments, and the compact EL20 and EL30 benchtop devices are suited for the smaller workspace. Five self-explanatory buttons makes operating the meter easy; "Read" starts a measurement, and "Cal," a calibration. Automatic endpoint recognition, temperature compensation, and buffer recognition during calibration reduce possible user errors. Besides the simultaneous display of measured value and temperature, various helpful icons inform users to the condition of electrodes and whether a measurement is in progress or has already reached a stable value. The spill-resistant laminated quick guide gives a practical overview, all the important steps, as well as tips and tricks regarding pH and conductivity measurements. The portable meters include a wrist strap, batteries and an electrode clip. Bench meters feature a connection for a matrix printer to allow simultaneous printing of the measured value. The benchtop meter and field kit versions contain all the supplies users require to get started right away. Mettler Toledo, Inc. www.mt.com/pH, 614-438-4511
