Bakri Informed on Sudan Participation in Meetings of African Caribbean - Pacific Group in.
Khartoum, Jan. 2 (SUNA) - The First Vice - President of the Republic and National Prime Minister, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, received in his office at the Council of Ministers, the Minister of International Cooperation, Ambassador Idris Suleiman, and got informed on the outcome of his participation in the ministerial meeting of the African - Caribbean Pacific Group which was held lately in Brussels.
The minister indicated that the meetings have discussed a number of political, economic and social issues and Cotonou Agreement.
He referred to the close cooperation between the member states in the group on ground that the group represent a platform for dealing with the European Union.
The Minister of International Cooperation indicated that he met with officials at the European Union and discussed the cooperation between Sudan and the European Union, explaining that he felt understanding from the European officials' side.
He said that the European UNION has vowed to support Sudan in the coming period in several domains.
He said that his ministry will study with the European Union the priorities for implementing development, services and environment projects in Sudan.
The minister said that he also acquainted the First Vice - President and National Prime Minister on the outcome of visits to Sweden and Finland, adding that Sudan expects a support of 14 million dollars from Sweden.
