Bakery and Snacks Companies Concentrate on Core Activities.

'Key Players in the Global Bakery and Snacks Industries' is a new report from Leatherhead Food RA, which analyses key trends in these industries and profiles 40 of the world's key bakery and snacks firms.

Of these, around half are North American firms, with demand for biscuits, cakes and snacks being higher in the US than in any other country across the world. The largest company profiled is the Frito-Lay business owned by PepsiCo, with turnover of $10,975bn. in 1998.
