Bahrain shine in jiu-jitsu.

BAHRAIN's leading jiu-jitsu practitioners claimed five medals at the recently concluded Asian Open Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2013, held in Tokyo.

The haul included three gold medals, one silver and one bronze medals.

The gold medals were clinched by Reza Monfaradi, Seena Monfaradi and Ali Hassan.

Kasha Monfaradi added the silver medal, while Seena claimed his second accolade of the tournament winning the bronze.

Reza, competing under Alliance Manama, clinched first place in the senior men's black belt light-featherweight.

Seena's gold medal was clinched in the senior men's brown belt light featherweight division, and then he also won a bronze in the senior men's brown belt open class.

Ali clinched first place in the adult men's blue belt middleweight division for Bahrain's third gold medal of the championship. Kasha won her silver medal in the adult women's blue belt lightweight category.

Seena, Ali and Kasha were all competing under the Alliance International banner.
