Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmed in the international coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) MANAMA, April 16 (KUNA) -- Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmed said on Tuesday stressed his country's commitment as an active participant in the international coalition against the so-called Islamic State (IS) and all forms of terrorism. The minister made his remarks at the 11th meeting on combating ISIL financing, praising the efforts of the international coalition in this regard, which led to the deterioration of the terror organization significantly in Syria and Iraq. Sheikh Khaled stressed the need to be vigilant and continue efforts to ensure defeating the so-called Islamic State and to put an end to the flow of their financial resources. He called on to benefit from the centers that fight extremist ideology such as the The Global Center for Combating Extremist Ideology (Etidal) in Saudi Arabia and the (Sawab) center in Abu Dhabi. The first meeting of this group was held in November 2014 in Manama, where they issued a declaration that financing terrorism is a global concern and requires more effort to protect the international financial system from such a threat.
