Bahrain Karting Sprints set for off.

BAHRAIN'S young karters will look to top the timesheets when the second round of the Bahrain Karting Sprints Championship (BKSC) takes place on Saturday.

The BKSC features the 2013/2014 Bahrain Rotax Mojo Max Challenge (BRMMC) and the Sodi Sprint W Series (SSWS).

The upcoming second round takes place at Bahrain International Karting Circuit (BIKC) in Sakhir, and it follows on from the exciting season-opener that took place at the same venue earlier this month.

The BKSC is an ideal day out for the entire family as they take in the karting action and other activities on the sidelines.

Entry to spectators is free and all are welcome to attend.

This year's events are being organised in cooperation between the Bahrain Motor Federation, Bahrain Karting Club and Bahrain International Circuit.

The nine-round championship will see action spread out over an eight-month timeframe, culminating with the final next May.

The opening round saw Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla triumph in both races of the BRMMC's Max class, claiming race one ahead of Abdulrahman Waleed. Defending champion Adeeb Kuzbar finished third.

Race two saw Abdulla Al Thawadi claim second place while Kuzbar was third.

Hussain Hasan, meanwhile, celebrated victory in the BRMMC Jr Max division after he finished ahead of Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and third-placed Abdulla Beshara.

On Saturday, qualifying in the SSWS will take place at 5.15pm with the first race set to start at 6.05pm and the secondat 7.20pm.
