Bahrain Condemns Iranian Expediency Discernment Council secretary-general Ahmed Janati's Blatant statements.
"These inimical statements made by Expediency Discernment Council secretary-general Ahmed Janati are the evidence that his country has no respect for the principles of good neighbourlinees, non-interference in the affairs of sovereign countries and the rules of internal law", it said.
It also described the hostile statements as reflecting Iranian leaders and officials insistence on interfering blatantly in Bahrain's internal affairs in particularly, which disserves bilateral relations.
"The Kingdom of Bahrain holds the Iranian Government responsible for any repercussions resulting from the blatant statements made by the Expediency Discernment Council secretary-general Ahmed Janati", the ministry said in the memorandum of protest.
It voiced Bahrain's strong rejection of the "false claims, illegal and illegitimate demands, which constitutes a blatant encroachment of Bahrain's sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity and a violation of Islamic precepts, the principles of good neighbourliness, the constituent charters of the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation as well as the international law.
"Bahrain is well able to achieve its people's hopes and aspirations under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa", the ministry said, hailing the leadership, the free-willed people and ongoing national democratic dialogue.
"The Expediency Discernment Council secretary-general Ahmed Janati should have concentrated on solving his country and people's problems instead of speaking about others and inciting dissensions which may erode regional security and stability", the ministry said.
