Bahrain : MANAMA: VIVA BAHRAIN signs strategic pact with Health Ministry.

VIVA Bahrain has made an announcement on its signing of an agreement with the country s Health Ministry to craft a strategic partnership with the later.

As part of the newly inked pact, the two partners will work together to reinforce the Kingdom s healthcare system and provide quality experience to the patients uninterruptedly. The deal was inked during the GITEX Technology Week 2013, which is going on in Dubai now.

Under the deal, VIVA will deliver topnotch products related to global information and communications technology to facilitate the ministry and associated health entities to develop their vital capabilities and efficiencies.

The two partners will also collaborate to recognize and prioritize technology linked challenges that the ministry encounters, and position VIVA's newest technology designed for local health organizations cooperatively to facilitate implementation of global best practices and clinical operating patterns.

VIVA Chief Executive Ulaiyan Al Wetaid stated, "VIVA has for long been working closely with leading organizations who have global expertise in the health domain."

The official added, "With our know-how and expertise in the sector, we would like to assist the ministry to bring the scalability and repeatability of health solutions in shorter timescales and at lower costs for the health sector.

"This partnership also highlights Bahrain's potential to be the health capital of the GCC and we look forward to achieving that together."

The Health Ministry Under-Secretary Dr Aysha Buaneq has disclosed that the ministry via its strategic partnership with VIVA Bahrain has envisaged to overhaul the healthcare sector of the country significantly through investments in resources, capabilities and future technologies.

The Under-Secretary revealed, "The aim is to adopt best practices and clinical operating models through the deployment of technology to enhance the way we work and serve our patients to drive better and faster outcomes, which will have a truly positive impact on their lives.
