Bahrain: $42.4m Al Tijaria Tower contract awarded.

Bahraini contracting firm, Fundament SPC, has won a $42.4m (BHD16m) contract to construct a residential project, Al Tijaria Tower, in Manama.

The project, which is scheduled to be completed in 26 months, was awarded by Commercial Real Estate Development Company in Bahrain, a subsidiary of Commercial Real Estate Company Kuwait.

Manama-based Engineering consultant, Arab Architects, has been appointed as the main consultant on the development, while Abeer Akbari & Associates will act as the interior designer.

Al Tijaria Tower located in the diplomatic area in Manama, is being built on an area of 3,856m 2 , with total of 351 sea view apartments, comprising studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, Arab Times reported

The tower will feature six parking levels, with a floor dedicated to amenities. Al Tijaria also include 10 floors of furnished apartments and 39 floors of freehold units.

Building amenities consist of a business centre, a cafe, a children's play area, two gyms, a basketball court, a spa, a swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, and an outdoor dining restaurant.
