Bahrain, Pakistan health cooperation discussed.

Manama, June 11(BNA): Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Aisha Mubarak Bu'unq today received a high-level delegation from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, led by Professor Zafarullah Chaudhry, and stressed constructive cooperation in all fields.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs Maher Al-Anees, Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources and Services Fatma Abdulwahed Al-Ahmed and Assistant Undersecretary for Hospital Affairs Dr. Walid Al-Manea. The Pakistani medical delegation arrived in Bahrain to discuss means of bolstering joint cooperation in the health sector and training programmes in different medical specialties.

Dr. Bu'unq affirmed the ministry's keenness on bolstering joint cooperation, stressing particularly training programmes. She lauded the Pakistani health expertise and the training opportunities provided by medical colleges and centres. She also thanked Prof. Chaudhry for the presentation which showcased training programmes and academic strategies. The Pakistani delegation thanked the officials, looking forward to bolstering joint medical cooperation. They stressed the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding to bolster joint cooperation.
