ALBION made it a winning finish to their Barclays Under-21 Premier League Division 2 season at The Hawthorns and in so doing climbed up to fourth in the table.
It was a thrilling end to a good game, with substitute Tahvon Campbell scoring twice to see Albion home.
Albion's Adil Nabi headed wide from a cross by Josh Ezewele in the tenth minute. Then Alex Gilliead and Callum Roberts failed to open Newcastle's account before Andre Wright sent a rasping 22nd minute drive over for the Baggies.
However, it was Albion who drew first blood four minutes later as a shot from Tyler Roberts went through the legs of keeper Brendan Pearson.
Adil Nabi sent a curling effort wide in the 27th minute, but Newcastle equalised in the 31st minute thanks to a terrific low shot from 25 yards by Callum Roberts.
Albion's George Cleet drove over from 30 yards as the second half got under way and Tyler Roberts forced a 56thminute save from Pearson. As both sides searched for the winner Alex Palmer made a vital 81st minute save from Callum Roberts, but it was Albion who edged in front when Campbell scored from close range in the 85th minute.
Campbell notched his second two minutes later.
In added time Dan Barlaser gave Newcastle hope with their second goal.
