I recently had the opportunity to try out the Badlands 2200 daypack, and was immediately impressed with the pack's quality of construction. The pack body is made of an extremely rugged, water-resistant fabric. All seams are double stitched and stress points are reinforced with nearly unbreakable Aramid thread. All zippers are taped for water resistance and most feature large rubber zipper pulls. The pack's suspension system consists of an internal aluminum frame, comfortable shoulder straps with sternum strap, and a truly functional waistband will help keep even heavy loads manageable.
The 2200 is a front-loader, meaning the front of the pack zips open and folds down, preventing you from having to dig blindly to get to the bottom of the main pocket. Even more convenient, the main pocket can also be accessed from a zipper on the back panel of the pack. The 2200 features a number of smaller pouches, pockets, and organizers and will accommodate a rifle or bow. Additionally, a blaze orange panel is included that may be pulled up over the pack or stowed as needed.
Badlands manufactures a number of packs to suit every individual, from heavy-duty, long-range packs, to light daypacks and fanny-packs. They also back up their gear with an unconditional, "no excuses" lifetime warranty. With rugged products like these, you'll probably never use the warranty, but it's nice to know it's there.
