Bacon's Information acquires Advertising Info. Services Division.
Bacon's Information (Chicago, IL), a provider of research, distribution, monitoring and evaluation services for PR and corporate communications professionals, has acquired the broadcast news monitoring division of Advertising Information Services (AIS; New York). No terms were given. Bacon's is a unit of Observer AB (Stockholm).Bacon's said it intends to integrate the acquired assets into its existing national network of broadcast monitoring offices. Bacon's Broadcast division currently provides coverage of more than 135 broadcast media markets, tracking more than 4400 news and public affairs programs every day, including 24 national and 5 international networks. Clients receive same-day content via any format. Bacon's media monitoring services include the tracking of tens of thousands of print media, including newspapers, trade and consumer magazines, and over 5300 news-related Internate sites.
