Baby grave desecrated.

SICK thieves have desecrated the grave of a 10-month-old baby boy.

Parents Maureen and Dudley Wellington were in Wrexham last week to visit their son David's grave.

The couple, who now live in Swansea, were horrified to find that a wooden cross had been stolen.

David was born on September 8, 1969, at Wrexham Maelor Hospital, but died of cot death at the age of just 10 months.

Seven years later, due to work commitments, the couple moved from Mrs Wellington's home town of Wrexham to her husband's home city, Swansea.

She said: 'He is still my little baby boy. He would have been 35 this September and I try to go and visit the grave as much as possible.

'I feel so empty. My husband and I both just burst into tears. We walked around for about an hour-and-a-half trying to see if someone had thrown the cross into the bushes or even if someone had put it on another grave, but we couldn't see it anywhere.

'It's not just the fact the cross has gone missing, it is the fact that someone could do something like this and actually desecrate the grave of a young baby.'
