Alliance provides PRISM and IFM users with comprehensive and

experienced business technical consulting

Baan Process Solutions, a business unit of Baan, the leading enterprise application provider for industrial enterprises and part of Invensys plc, today announced that it has formed an alliance with the financial consulting division of Oakdene Group, Inc. The alliance provides PRISM and IFM users with comprehensive and experienced business technical consulting services to help them achieve higher levels of productivity, accuracy and control.

Oakdene has provided consulting support to Baan Process Solutions customers since 1996 when the MAPICS International Financial Management (IFM) module was first delivered with the PRISM enterprise application suite. Prior to that, Oakdene provided consulting support for IFM when MAPICS first introduced IFM in 1994.

"Our relationship with Oakdene emphasizes Baan's commitment to the PRISM/IFM customer base," said Richard Howells, Vice President, Sales & Services, Baan Process Solutions. "It provides quality services that increase overall satisfaction, as well as a highly cost-effective solution for Baan and the PRISM/IFM community."

Oakdene will serve as a Certified Solution Provider with product specialization in International Financial Management (IFM). The company's unique background in financial systems and in the integration of IFM with PRISM products complements the manufacturing expertise of other Certified Solution Providers.

"Through this relationship, Oakdene will be able to increase levels of customer satisfaction within the PRISM user community," said David Sterlin, Vice President and Implementation Consultant, Oakdene Group, Inc. "Furthermore, we expect that our collaborative efforts will help companies drive down operating expenses."

PRISM is Baan Process Solutions' enterprise software for the IBM iSeries computing environment. It is used widely in the process industries, with more than 600 leading companies using PRISM across a range of sectors including food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical production, and pulp and paper. PRISM software uses patented process modeling, which enables a company to perform a detailed cost analysis at each value point in their enterprise. With the new business intelligence functionality, PRISM users will be able to utilize this cost detail to make better decisions on pricing and planning, scheduling and delivery.

PRISM is a trademark of Baan Process Solutions. The International Financial Management module was originally developed by, and is provided to MAPICS, Inc., under license from Synon Corporation, USA.
