 BWIP HOLDING RECEIVES $23.5 MILLION CONTRACT
 TO BUILD FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR THE MAVERICK MISSILE
 LONG BEACH, Calif., Dec. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- BWIP Holding Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: BWIP) announced that it has received a contract valued at $23.5 million to build pneumatic actuation systems (PAS) for the Maverick missile. PAS units actuate the missile's aerodynamic fins during flight.
 The contract, awarded by Raytheon Co. (NYSE: RTN), calls for the shipment of 5,255 PAS units during 1992 and 1993.
 Production will take place at the company's Fluid Controls Division in Van Nuys, Calif.
 BWIP has supplied PAS units for the Maverick under previous contracts with Raytheon, the prime contractor. The new contract will support replacement of U.S. Air Force Maverick missiles expended during the Persian Gulf conflict. U.S. Air Force A-10s, F-16s, F- 15s, F-111s and A-7s can carry the Maverick.
 BWIP is a worldwide supplier of advanced-technology pump, seal and fluid control equipment and services. The company's Pump and Seal segment produces highly engineered pumps and pumping equipment, precision mechanical seals, seal systems and accessories. The Fluid Controls segment manufactures control systems for tactical missiles, aircraft, turbine engines and a variety of industrial applications.
 The Fluid Controls Division is presently working under production contracts for the TOW and Hellfire missiles, which were also prominent weapons systems in the recent Persian Gulf conflict.
