BWIA and Helen Air sign deal to expand services in eastern Caribbean.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2000 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

A new five-year strategic alliance has been formed between BWIA and Helen Air of St Lucia that aims to expand services in the Eastern Caribbean.

In particular the two carriers hope to see increased services from St Lucia and Barbados with Dominica, St Vincent, the Grenadines, Martinique and Guadeloupe from flights arriving from Miami, New York and Washington in the USA, as well as Toronto and London, UK.

According to the agreement Helen Air will operate under the BWEE Express brand but will maintain its name and identity, as well as most business functions according to the Trinidad Express.
