BWF America introduces felt filter fabric.

A felt filter fabric that utilizes all FDA approved components has been developed by BWF America, Florence, KY. Specifically, the fabric uses an FDA approved version of BWF's proprietary CS-17 finish, which is applied to difficult dust collection and liquid filtration applications to provide improved cake release in gas streams where moist, fatty or oily dust is present. Combined with BWF's Code 4 surface treatment, CS-17 FWP provides the optimum resistance to fabric blinding.

Applications for this new media include food processing and pharmaceutical manufacturing, which did not previously use state-of-the-art filter cloth technology because the components were not suitable for food, water or pharmaceutical contact.
