BUZZ'S LIFE ON MARS BARMY.

Byline: Paul Routledge

LUNATIC (perhaps that should read "lunar") astronaut Buzz Aldrin thinks that people could live off the land on Mars.

He must have heard too many episodes of Journey Into Space, the radio series of my youth.

On the 40th anniversary of his flight to the moon, Aldrin claims we would eventually be able to live off the resources on Mars... which has a "little bit of an atmosphere and some ice under the dust and at the poles".

No wonder NASA insisted Neil Armstrong was first off Saturn V to say "one small step for a man... a giant leap for mankind."
