BUSINESS LIFE: Travel firm enjoys a party at the castle.

WARWICKSHIRE'S longest established independent travel specialists, Carrick Travel, celebrated 30 years in business with a party at Kenilworth Castle.

To the sounds of the City of Coventry Corps of Drums, and with entertainment from flame thrower James Pettigrew, the firm celebrated with clients and guests.

Set up by Mike and Sally Carrick, the company has travel agencies in Coventry, Kenilworth, Leamington and Stratford.

It also has a specialist business and sports divisions based at its head office in Talisman Square, Kenilworth.

Mr Carrick said: "We set up 30 years ago to provide, friendly, informative and impartial advice to those looking to travel across the world and that is still our mission today."

The Mayor of Kenilworth, Cllr Pauline Edwards, was guest of honour at the event and said Carrick Travel had provided "interesting and worthwhile employment for many people".
