Donations

The Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation has donated $20,000 to The Relief Nursery's Raise a Roof project. This is a volunteer project to build, and then sell, a home with proceeds going to the Relief Nursery's child abuse prevention programs. The donation will pay for permit and land costs.

The Eugene Active 20-30 Club recently allocated $2,500 to Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Arc of Lane County, Bethel Clothes Closet and Campfire Camp Wilani. An additional $4,000 recently was allocated from the Eugene Active 20-30 Foundation to SMART and Courageous Kids.

St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County has received the following donations for the First Place Family Center: $2,500 from the R & M Clark Family Foundation, $5,000 from the Chambers Family Foundation, $828 from students from the University of Oregon chapter of OSPIRG, and $2,000 from The Levi Strauss Foundation to help with remodeling costs at the family center.

In addition, The Jill Heiman Vision Fund and the Oregon Country Fair donated $5,097 to the family center to support its Medical and Dental Access Program. The Jill Heiman Vision Fund is supported by donations from fair members and a portion of the fair's revenue.

The Bank of America donated $10,000 to St. Vincent de Paul's Resident Services programs, which will be used to expand programs in six of St. Vincent's housing complexes. The resident services program also received a $5,000 grant from the McKay Family Foundation to fund scholarships for after-school activities for students who live in St. Vincent's housing. Also, the Home Builders Association of Lane County donated $13,700 to St. Vincent, which will be used to build a basketball court at Oakwood Manor.

Eugene-based SELCO Community Credit Union has donated $250 to the Willamette Animal Guild of Eugene to help establish a permanent, affordable spay/neuter clinic for Lane County.
