The Weyerhaeuser Company Foundation has awarded $100,000 to United Way of Lane County for social programs; $12,000 to Forests Today and Forever for education programs; $8,000 to Northwest Youth Corps to buy a walk-in refrigerator and freezer for the teen meals program; $3,000 to Camp Fire USA, Wilani Council for leader training workshops; $3,000 to Lane Arts Council for YouthArts programs; $2,000 to Irving Elementary School for a community playground project; $2,000 to Hamlin Middle School for greenhouse project; $1,450 to Arts Umbrella for concerts; $1,000 to North Eugene High School for recycling program.

Pacific Continental Bank of Eugene has contributed $7,000 to KidSports; $2,000 to Food for Lane County; $2,000 to the Springfield Museum; $2,500 to ShelterCare; $1,000 to Dress for Success Oregon; $1,500 to the Relief Nursery; $1,500 to the Neighborhood Economic Development Corp.; and $1,000 to the Center for Community Counseling.

The Oregon Country Fair Endowment Fund has awarded $2,500 to Veneta Elementary School for classes in dance and arts; $2,000 to Elmira Elementary School for music; $1,300 to Fern Ridge Middle School for improvements to a vocational classroom; $2,000 to the Fern Ridge Library for summer summer programs; and $2,200 to Camp Fire USA, Camp Wilani for a challenge course.

Coos Bay Nissan will provide grants of $1,000 to every school in Coos County - 26 public schools and four private ones.

Camp Fire USA Wilani Council has received $10,000 from the Clorox Kingsford Co. to create a challenge course; $6,000 from the Richmond F. Snyder Fundfor teen programs; $2,500 from REI for summer camp programs; $2,000 from the Jackson County Commission on Children and Families for after-school programs; $600 in printing services from Shelton-Turnbull Printers in Eugene for a summer camp brochure; $600 from the Wal-Mart Foundation for after-school programs; $400 in limousine services from Abed's Eugene Limousine for Camp Fire USA's 94th birthday; and $300 in carpet and tile from Gardner Floor Covering.

Weyerhaeuser Co. has donated $3,000 worth of fire suppression equipment to Creswell High School's Forestry Program.
