Fall Creek Farm & Nursery, Inc., in Lowell has hired Lara Colley as a field inventory technician, Jesse Conway as contract administrator and Randall White as facilities and equipment manager. Colley graduated from Washington State University with a degree in horticulture and natural sciences, Conway earned his juris doctor degree from Thomas Jefferson School of Law, and White was previously a superintendent and carpenter at Chambers Construction. The nursery has promoted Dale Heintz to shipping and inventory manager. He has been with the company for more than three years.

Wells Fargo's Business Banking Group has named Daniel May of Eugene to the position of regional business banking manager for greater Oregon. He previously worked in a similar position for Wells Fargo in Salt Lake City.

Sally Cochrane has been named patient care executive for Sacred Heart Medical Center's University District campus in Eugene. Cochrane has been with Sacred Heart for 15 years, the past eight as nurse manager of the hospital's 3 Main medical unit. She earned a master of science degree in nursing from the University of Minnesota.

Randy Richichi has been hired by Summit Bank in Eugene as a loan officer. He has more than 10 years of experience in banking.

Kudos

The Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce received an Export Achievement Certificate from the Department of Commerce's U.S. Commercial Service. The award recognizes the Chamber's efforts to promote and support international trade in Eugene, Springfield and southern Oregon. Two Eugene businesses, Burley Design and Moss Adams LLP, also received the regional award for their achievements in increasing export sales or opening new international markets

The Oregon Downtown Development Association (ODDA) honored two local projects at the annual Awards in Downtown Excellence ceremony: Springfield Station received the Excellence in Transit and Transportation Award, and the Tate in Eugene received the Pioneering Award.

Eric DeVita, sales and service manager for Oregon Community Credit Union in Eugene, has joined the board of the Oregon Pacific Chapter of the American Red Cross in Eugene. He has also been appointed chairman of the chapter's Financial Development Committee.

KVAL News in Eugene received the following awards for excellence from the Society of Professional Journalists: first-place awards to Doug Schwindt for `Best Feature Photojournalism,' Dirk Weishaar for `Best Sports Reporting' and Dana Rebik and Chris Abernathy for `Best General News'; second-place awards to Andy Peterson and Doug Schwindt for `Spot News,' Tom Ward for `Sports Reporting,' and Joel Kempff for `Feature Photojournalism'; and a third-place award to Jennifer Winters and Chris Abernathy for `Spot News.' Andy Peterson and Bill Goetz received an honorable mention in the `Feature News' category.
