Wendy Baker has joined Arlie & Company in Eugene as in-house counsel. Baker previously practiced law in Eugene at the law firm of Harrang Long Gary Rudnick, P.C.
Bill Dion-Watson has been promoted to parts manager at Peterson Machinery Co. in Eugene. He has been with the company since 2003. Kathleen Simpson has been hired as communications editor and will also work in the Eugene headquarters dealership.
A.G. Edwards in Eugene has hired the following financial consultants: Kim VanderKley at the Ferry Street Bridge office and Alan Linn at the downtown Eugene office. VanderKley previously was a financial consultant at Wells Fargo Investments. Linn was previously a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch.
LibertyBank in Eugene received a bronze Telly Award for its advertising campaign, "The Bank for Extraordinary People," developed by Funk/Levis & Associates. The bank and Funk/Levis also received a Silver Summit Creative Award in the TV category.
Peggy West, owner of Thurston Book Exchange in Springfield, received the Bookseller of the Year 2007 award in a national contest sponsored by Romantic Times Book Review magazine, in which customers nominated their favorite bookstore.
Emerald Valley Development Professionals, an organization dedicated to encouraging education and networking of fundraising professionals, has elected Joe Millon, Netcorps and Glenda Lonstron, Eugene Hearing and Speech, as continuing board members for 2006-2007.
