Melissa Rose Sayer has been appointed director for Children's Miracle Network, a fund-raising arm of the Sacred Heart Medical Center Foundation. The network provides funding support for programs serving children hospitalized at Sacred Heart Medical Center or receiving care through Sacred Heart's community-based health care programs. Sayer has been affiliated with the organization since 2003 and previously served as program director.
Julianne Brown, a licensed practical nurse, has joined the case management team at New Horizons In-Home Care. She will be a team leader facilitating home care services for residents in the Lane County and the surrounding area.

Lois Day, program manager for Lane County Child Welfare Services, has joined the board of directors of The Girl Scouts of Western Rivers Council.
FOOD for Lane County has elected new board officers for the coming year. They are: chair, Scott Morgan, Whittier Wood Products; vice chair, Galen Ohmart, Solarc Architecture & Engineering Inc.; past chair, Kathy Bootes, Lane Shelter Care; treasurer, Dee Ann Hardt, city of Eugene; and secretary,Mike Wells, Wells & Wells.
KLCC, Eugene's public radio station, won four awards at the Public Radio News Directors' Conference in Chicago, including first place for news/public affairs program for Northwest Passage; first place for spot news; second place for interviews; and second place for newscasts.

Dr. Steven Yoder has joined the family medicine practice at PeaceHealth Medical Group's downtown Eugene clinic at 1162 Willamette St. Yoder received his medical degree from Indiana University and completed his residency at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Ind. He is board-certified in family practice. He previously practiced medicine in Ronan, Mont., as a member of St. Luke Community Healthcare Network.
Dwight Janssen, a Realtor with 17 years experience in Eugene, has formed an independent real estate company called Consolidated Developments, LLC. Janssen has a master's degree in education from the University of Oregon and was a licensed building contractor.
