Joseph Fancher has been named communications director and Susan Paiement has been hired as banquet and development director for India Partners, a faith-based charity in Eugene that supports self-help ministry projects in India.

Teresa Mellin has been hired as senior financial analyst in the general accounting department at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center and Linda Hall has been hired as director of patient financial services in the Springfield hospital's fiscal department.

David Girard has been named Pacific Northwest sales manager for Peterson Pacific Corp. of Eugene, a producer of heavy equipment, including blower trucks and waste recycling machinery. Girard will be based in Portland, serving customers in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and western Montana.

Dr. Erik Stowell has been appointed to the medical staff at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Eugene. He joined Rehabilitation Medicine Associates of Eugene-Springfield, P.C. last month.

Guy Gibson has joined A&M Auto Body at 430 W. First Ave., Eugene, as collision manager. He worked previously at A Street Automotive & Collision in Springfield.

Sue Sessler has been elected president of the executive board for 2004-05 for The Assistance League of Eugene, a nonprofit organization that offers aid to children and seniors. Carolyn Vike was elected vice president, Faun Wuite treasurer, Kathleen Turner recording secretary and Marilyn Scherer corresponding secretary.

Baden & Co., a Eugene-based advertising agency, received six national awards in the 2004 Silver Microphone Awards for the best local and regional radio commercials produced annually in the United States. The company won awards for commercials it produced for the University of Oregon Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, Sanipac, Oregon Community Credit Union, Jerry's Home Improvement Center, Avalon Village and Doctors Fine, Hoffman and Packer.

Goodwill Industries has opened a new attended donation center in the parking lot of Kuebler's Furniture, 1010 Green Acres Road, near Delta Highway and Belt Line Road.
