 OMAHA, Neb., March 19 /PRNewswire/ -- American Business Information, Inc. (NASDAQ: ABII) is offering the first "online" business database that is designed to meet the needs and fit the budgets of small businesses. Charges for the services are simple: $.50 per minute. Period.
 From accountants to zoos, this database of 11 million businesses has the information everyone needs! Users can search by:
 -- Type of business - using Yellow Page headings for virtually all types of businesses.
 -- Geographic area - by ZIP code, city, area code, state, event the entire United States and Canada!
 -- Company name - quickly and easily locate businesses when all you know is the name, and get their address and phone number; get in-depth business profiles for specific companies.
 -- Phone number - if you've got a phone number and that's it ... no problem! Just type it in and this service will tell you what business uses that number.
 Initially, the service will be provided basic information on 11 million U.S. and Canadian businesses. In the future, the company plans to offer a "gateway" to other business-related databases, such as business news articles, public filings, airline schedules, electronic mail and more. American Business Information plans to negotiate licensing arrangements with other database owners, in order to provide a variety of information.
 This new service will provide millions of small businesses with access to a diverse group of business information databases, easily and inexpensively. Many of the company's 300,000 existing customers have expressed enthusiasm about the service.
