 BURLINGTON ENVIRONMENTAL ACQUIRES MIDWESTERN TREATMENT FACILITY
 SEATTLE, Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Burlington Environmental Inc. today announced that it has acquired Solvent Recovery Corp., a subsidiary of Riedel Environmental Technologies Inc. (AMEX: RIE).
 This hazardous waste treatment facility, located in Kansas City, Mo., holds a Part B permit and offers liquid and solids fuel blending, solvent distillation and recycling services. In addition, transportation and onsite analytical testing complement this facility.
 Burlington Environmental intends to expand its hazardous waste treatment capability to new geographic areas in the United States, according to Dr. John Craig, president and chief executive officer.
 "Our success on the West Coast in terms of regulatory compliance and safety encourages us to believe that customers in the Midwest will welcome us into the marketplace," he said.
 Burlington Environmental, a Seattle-based company, recently received the National Environmental Compliance award for two of its treatment, storage and disposal (TSD) facilities.
 Burlington Environmental provides comprehensive hazardous waste services for customers including major industrial manufacturers in the aerospace, transportation, chemical and petrochemical industries as well as numerous government agencies. Burlington Environmental is the largest operator of treatment, recycling and storage facilities in the northwest United States.
