SINGAPORE, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Burlington Air Express, Singapore began ocean services operations last week utilizing its own personnel and facilities. The opening on April 10, 1993, of Burlington Ocean Services(SM), Singapore provided the Southeast Asia and India markets with expanded global logistics services, according to Steve Dearnley, chief operating officer for Burlington's Pacific Region.
"The opening of our Burlington Ocean Services(SM) office was in response to customer requests for single-source handling of worldwide transportation services and underscores Burlington's commitment to offering customers comprehensive global logistics services," said Dearnley.
Patrick Wee is overseeing the Singapore ocean operation. Wee has 15 years of transportation/ocean logistics experience, most recently with Transtec Ocean Express. Transtec was Burlington's ocean forwarding agent prior to BAX re-entering the ocean forwarding business.
