BUICK TO RETAIN CENTURY IN MODEL LINEUP

BUICK TO RETAIN CENTURY IN MODEL LINEUP
FLINT, Mich., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Last week General Motors

(NYSE: GM) announced that the product platform upon which the Buick Century is built will be discontinued following the 1996 model year. This announcement should not be interpreted to mean that Buick intends to drop the Century car line. Century is Buick's second best-selling car. In the market, Century has become synonymous with value and quality.
In its 1992 Initial Quality Survey, J.D. Power and Associates ranked Century in its top 10 best vehicles. Vehicles built in the Oklahoma City assembly plant, which include Buick Century, have the fewest reported problems of any other vehicle made in North America.
Buick intends to retain Century as a core product in its future plans to address the needs of its numerous and loyal midsize buyers. Enhancements, refinements and updates are scheduled for the car into the foreseeable future.
