BUDD UNIT RECEIVES MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR ORDER FOR AIR BAG COMPONENTS

 TROY, Mich., July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Budd Company said today that its Canadian subsidiary, Greening Donald Co. Ltd., of Orangeville, Ontario, received a multi-million dollar contract from Morton International (NYSE: MII) of Ogden, Utah, to supply components used in the manufacture of automotive air bag systems.
 Greening Donald has been supplying two products to Morton for the past 18 months, and production of these will increase in the next two years. Additional new components will be introduced to support the rapidly increasing market for passenger-side air bags.
 Morton International, Automotive Safety Products Division, is one of the largest manufacturers of air bag systems in the world. Their customers include all North American and most Japanese car companies.
 Greening Donald Co. Ltd. employs about 200 people in its three Ontario locations.
 The Budd Company, headquartered in Troy, is a leading supplier to the automotive industry.
