BUD BOWL IV: THIS TIME IT'S FOR A MILLION BUCKS!
ST. LOUIS, Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Budweiser family of beers is

giving consumers a million reasons to watch Super Bowl XXVI.
On Sunday, Jan. 26, 1992, consumers will learn if they are eligible to win -- for the first time in Super Bowl and beer industry promotional history -- a $1 million cash prize, awarded in the Bud Bowl IV sweepstakes (where legal).
In addition to the $1 million grand prize, another 10,000 consumers will have the opportunity to win a share of $100,000 in cash.
To enter, consumers 21 years or older will be able to obtain a Bud Bowl IV "Official Game Ticket" wherever Budweiser, Bud Light, and Bud Dry Draft are sold, no beer purchase necessary. Tickets will be available at special Bud Bowl IV displays beginning Jan. 1, 1992.
"Unlike many large cash awards, our $1 million prize will be paid in one lump sum," said Thomas R. Sharbaugh, vice president of the Budweiser brands. "Last year, more than 300,000 entries were received from consumers in the Bud Bowl 3 sweepstakes. With this type of prize money available, we are expecting to exceed last year's consumer participation levels."
For the past three consecutive years, Bud Bowl has been January's dominant beer promotion, setting consistent record sales increases for the Budweiser family of beers; it ranks as the most successful retail promotion in Anheuser-Busch history; it has brought January beer sales to the highest level in industry history; and, according to a study by the Cramer-Krasselt agency, Bud Bowl 3 ads were the most memorable of all 46 commercial spots shown during last year's Super Bowl XXV broadcast.
For details on how to play and win, consumers should read the official rules listed on the back of the "Official Game Ticket" and watch the Bud Bowl game-day television commercials that air during the telecast of the "other big game" on CBS.
The drawing to determine the sweepstakes winners will be held on Feb. 10, 1992.
If consumers are unable to watch the Bud Bowl IV television commercials during the Super Bowl, a special toll-free number will be available for consumers to use to determine if they are winners.
It is recommended that winning "Official Game Tickets" be mailed in via registered mail. Anheuser-Busch, Inc., and its agencies are not responsible for lost, late, misdelivered, illegible, stolen, incomplete or postage-due entries. Limit one entry per envelope. The Bud Bowl IV promotion ends on and sweepstakes entries must be received by Feb. 7, 1992.
Budweiser, Bud Light, and Bud Dry Draft are products of Anheuser- Busch, Inc., the world's largest brewer.
