TELECOMWORLDWIRE-23 July 2007-BT selects Atlantic Link's Rapid E-learning software(C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com
Rapid E-learning software from Atlantic Link, an advanced rapid e-learning tools provider, has been selected by BT, a communications solutions and services provider, for e-learning development globally across its business lines helping to reduce the cost of deploying certain types of training.
BT said that after implementing an enterprise-wide LMS it needed to create and update e-learning content more quickly and less expensively. It sought to improve production speed, make content appealing and ensure quality and compliance to standards, ensuring all new content meets the W3C-AA accessibility standards for disabled people.
BT selected Atlantic Link's collaborative authoring system, incorporating Content Point, Capture Point and Knowledge Point, providing an integrated tools suite for creating, managing and tracking learning content. The system offers features to accelerate and simplify the authoring process, to include Flash-based templates, a PowerPoint importer and authoring wizards and has expanded e-learning use to new applications.
According to Atlantic Link, the agreement, which is expected to see BT invite other e-learning vendors to use the authoring system in the future, will be worth over GBP0.5m in additional sales to the company.
