BSN medical adds to executive team.

BSN medical has appointed Todd Healy as the organization's president of North America, effective Jan. 15.

With more than 30 years of experience in healthcare sales and operations, Healy joins BSN from Owens & Minor Inc., an international healthcare-services company. Healy will be responsible for BSN medical's U.S. sales operations. In this role, he will be a member of the Group Management Committee and report directly to Dr. Guido Oelkers, CEO of BSN medical Group.

Healy began his career at Owens & Minor as general manager for the Franklin, Mass., Distribution Center, and was then promoted to division vice president, area vice president, regional vice president and most recently, senior vice president for Provider Services. Prior to joining Owens & Minor, Healy was the general manager for Stuart Medical at its Franklin, Mass., facility. He has also served in various sales roles with Johnson & Johnson Orthopedics.

Healy is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology, where he received a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in marketing. He also completed the Colgate Darden Executive Development course at the University of Virginia and the Global Leadership in Healthcare course at the University of Michigan.

"With his depth of knowledge of both patients' and customers' needs coupled with his leadership experience, we have a powerful team in place to further develop and grow our US organization."

BSN medical is a global provider of wound care and related vascular diseases, lymphology and non-invasive orthopedic products. Founded in 2001, the company currently employs approximately 5,500 members of staff, and generated revenues of 762 million euros in 2014. Its brands include Elvarex, Cutimed, JOBST, Delta, and Actimove.
