BSMY contenders cut to 24.
THE field for this year's Racing Post/SIS Betting Shop Manager of the Year competition has been reduced to 24.
The 49 managers who made it through to the latest stage were narrowed down further after a judging panel comprising representatives from the joint sponsors assessed mystery shopper reports from each shop.
We now have the leading three managers from the eight regions in Britain and Ireland, and these 24 will attend an informal lunch and day at the races at Doncaster's Racing Post Trophy meeting on Friday, October 26.
They will have the opportunity to meet the judges for the first time before the panel sits again to decide the regional champions, who will be announced on Thursday, November 1 on SIS.
The regional champions will be crowned alongside the overall winner at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in London on Monday, November 19 at the final awards lunch.
It is not just the prestigious title that the final 24 are gunning for - the winner also receives a VIP to the 2013 Singapore Airlines Cup courtesy of the Singapore Turf Club.
