Grupo BTG Pactual SA's private-banking unit in Singapore, BSI, has been sued by a headhunter, according to Bloomberg.

The firm was sued for bypassing a headhunter and refusing to pay the firm for recruiting bankers. Mancano and Associates Pte is seeking damages of SGD7.1m from the bank after it successfully referred 23 employees to the bank, including deputy chief executive officer, Raj Sriram.

BSI allegedly circumvented Mancano and directly hired candidates the headhunter recommended from 2009.
