 BRUNSWICK SETTLES LAWSUIT
 SKOKIE, Ill., June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Brunswick Corp. (NYSE: BC)


announced today that the company had settled a lawsuit brought in Alaska by a former distributor of the company's Mariner Outboard product line.
 After a jury trial completed in June 1991, a judgment had been entered against the company for dm?ages totaling approximately $34.7 million, plus interest and statutory attorneys' fees and costs. Terms of the settlement were not disclosed. The company indicated, however, that the settlement is covered by existing reserves.
 Headquartered in Skokie, Brunswick Corp. is a multinational company with leadership positions in marine power, pleasure boating, recreation and selected defense/industrial markets. Its stock is traded on the New York, London, Tokyo, Midwest and Pacific Stock Exchanges.
