The venture was formed to develop and market on-screen guides to help cable subscribers find and enjoy programming that suits their interests in a rapidly growing universe of choices and to provide an effective marketing vehicle for cable operators to promote their programming services.
Mr. Davis's extensive entrepreneurial experience includes assisting in the development of venture capital-funded technology start ups, managing the development and publication of entertainment software for computers and video games, and serving on the board of directors of a cable television operating company.
Mr. Davis, 40, was the president of Computers & Technology ("C&T") which he founded in 1991. C&T offers consulting and market development services to companies involved in cable television, digital television, interactive television, and computer multimedia.

He was previously the president and chief executive officer of Imagic, one of the first independent developers of software for the Atari video games. Before that, he established and managed the intellectual property practice at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, a San Francisco-based law firm.
Mr. Davis served on the board of directors of the Software Publishers Association (SPA) for five years, including two terms as chairman of the association. He was also a member of the board of directors of Peninsula Cable Co-op, a northern California cable system operator, from 1988 to 1991.
