BROUN, TROTTER ELECTED DIRECTORS OF ZAPATA HOUSTON, May 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Edwin C. Broun Jr. and Jack T.
Trotter were re-elected to the board of directors of Zapata Corporation (NYSE: ZOS) at the company's annual stockholders meeting here today.
Broun joined the Zapata board in 1989. He has been president and chief executive officer of Broun Energy Services, a holding company for energy services businesses, since 1988. Broun was executive vice president and a director of Hughes Tool Company from 1979 to 1987 and served as a consultant to Baker-Hughes, Inc., from 1987 to 1988. Trotter has been a member of the Zapata board since 1986. He has been a partner in the Washington law firm of McClure, Trotter and Mentz since 1965, and he maintains an office in Houston for managing his personal investments. Zapata Corporation is a Houston-based international company that produces oil and natural gas and conducts marine protein operations that produce fish meal and edible oil from menhaden.
