 MARK LEE THOMPSON TO GENERAL COUNSEL POSITION
 SOMERSET, N.J., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Brother International Corporation, has named Mark Lee Thompson, Esq. as their general counsel. In making this announcement, Hiromi Gunji, chairman, president & CEO, stated "We are pleased to have Thompson join the Brother family. We are certain that his legal expertise will prove invaluable on many levels."
 Now responsible for all corporate legal matters, Thompson comes to Brother


from Thompson Systems, where he was president & general counsel, Thompson also practiced law with Vinson & Elkins, in their Washington office, and was with Arthur Young & Co. as a CPA in Birmingham, Alabama. A graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law (J.D. 1984), Thompson also earned a B.S. in accounting (1976) at that university. A member of the Texas and Washington bars, he is married to Rebecca H. Thompson, Esq. and they have one daughter, Catherine.
