 BROTHER INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION ANNOUNCES YOSHI YANAGI TO RETIRE
 SOMERSET, N.J., Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Hiromi Gunji, chairman, president and CEO of Brother International Corporation has announced that Yoshi Yanagi, senior vice president and board member, will retire Sept. 30, 1992. Mr. Gunji spoke with deep feeling when making the announcement, and said, "It is with regret that we accept the retirement of Mr. Yanagi. He has been an excellent employee, assistant and advisor, and will be greatly missed on a professional and personal level."
 Mr. Gunji added, "Mr. Yanagi's versatility and adaptability have allowed him to serve Brother alternatively in Japan and the United States during the span of his career, which mirrors the years Brother has existed in America, causing him to make great personal sacrifices. Mr. Yanagi, however, has always persevered and his dedication and energy have earned him the respect of Brother co-workers everywhere."
 Mr. Yanagi became a member of the executive committee and a senior vice president of Brother International Corporation in February of 1987, following many distinguished years in Japan.
 Mr. Yanagi had previously served as import manager for Brother (USA) for eight years, starting in 1957, prior to returning to Brother (Japan) where he became a director of Brother International Corporation (Japan) and served as general manager of Brother Industries Ltd.'s Business Machine Division.
 Brother is America's largest manufacturer of personal electronic typewriters and personal word processors, and distributes a full line of automated office, industrial and home electronic products. In addition to its corporate headquarters in Somerset, N.J., Brother has operations in California, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee and Texas.
